Zero on a scale of fools.

All it was possible to do, for much of the day, once the serious business of the classroom was out of the way, was to embrace the fact that it was a day for embracing every single thing as it wanted or needed to happen.  And if that meant three hours over dinner? or a good half-hour standing and talking in the college bookstore? then so be it.  Under a sky that big, on a day when it was actually possible to feel warmth in the sun, what wanted to be could be, and was.
